24 hours later…all 6 seeds had either sprouted a tiny tap rootlet or were just breaking through the shell. At this point the 3 OG have had more of a vigorous start as the rootlets are more noticeable than the 3 MK but all 6 have started their germination beautifully and it’s on to the next step.
Now that they have been soaking for 24 hours, the seeds are ready to be placed in a moist paper towel to allow longer tap root growth. You want to keep your sheet of paper towel moist, and able to drain excess water. This was done by placing a regular food grater on a dinner plate and placing a distilled water mositened paper towel over the length of the grater. The grater allows for air flow underneath the seeds and gives excess water a way to drain away easily.
